​Collier Walsh Nakazawa Names Zachary J. Farley Partner

​

Collier Walsh Nakazawa LLP is pleased to announce that Zachary J. Farley has been named Partner of the Firm.

​​

Based in the Firm's Seattle office, Zachary focuses his practice on maritime and commercial disputes and provides counsel on a broad range of maritime transactions. He represents clients in state and federal courts in matters ranging from lien enforcement and contract disputes to global arbitration involving transaction and construction claims.

 

He also advises clients on issues involving ship arrests, environmental liability, Jones Act compliance, regulatory matters, bankruptcy, and the purchase and sale of vessels. His practice includes responding to maritime incidents involving vessel damage, seaman and longshoreman claims, and cargo disputes.

Prior to entering private legal practice, Zachary accumulated nearly a decade of government and public affairs experience. His background includes work for an elected member of Congress as well as experience assisting telecommunications development teams in their interactions with local governments and communities.

Zachary earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, graduating with honors and receiving a certificate in international law. He served on the University of San Francisco Maritime Law Journal during all three years of law school. He also holds an M.A. in Political Science - International Relations from Columbia University and a B.A. in Politics from New York University.
