Collier Walsh Nakazawa Welcomes New Associate Camille Zuber

 

Long Beach, CA – July 11, 2023 – Collier Walsh Nakazawa, LLP announced today the addition of Camille Zuber as an Associate. Attorney Zuber will be working from the firm’s Long Beach office.

 

Zuber has joined Collier Walsh Nakazawa after completing her LL.M. at Berkeley Law. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Leicester (U.K.) and a Maîtrise in International Law from the Université de Strasbourg, France. She then obtained an LL.M. in Maritime Law from the University of Oslo, where she wrote her thesis on environmental laws and regulations governing vessel-source pollution in the Arctic, especially noise pollution and black carbon, and proposed an amendment to MARPOL Annex VI- which was prepared under the sponsorship of the Fridtjof Nansen Institutt. There, she also represented Norway at the 2ND IUCN WCEL conference and pleaded on the international obligations of States to not deforest for the sake of present and future generations. She then obtained her LL.M. in Environmental Law at U.C. Berkeley in California, where she specialized in both California and US environmental law and energy policies thanks to her work for the California-China Climate Institute. There, she also interned at Gibson, Robb, and Lindh, a law firm specialized in maritime insurance, subrogation, and cargo claims in the Bay Area. She still remains an active member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law and of the ABA Marine resources committee, and is in the process of joining WISTA/MLAUS. Furthermore, she is fluent in French, English, and Italian (as well as proficient in German).
