Zachary focuses his practice on maritime and commercial disputes and providing advice related to maritime transactions. He represents clients before state and federal courts in matters ranging from lien enforcement to contract disputes, as well as global arbitral panels involving transaction and construction claims. He also advises clients on state and federal law on matters varying from bankruptcy, to ship arrest, to environmental liability, Jones Act compliance, regulatory matters, and assisting with purchase and sale of vessels of various classes.  Zachary also handles responses to maritime incidents, including vessel damage, seaman and longshoreman claims, and cargo disputes.  Zachary received his law degree from the University of San Francisco and graduated with honors with a certificate in international law. He spent all three of his law school years on USF’s Maritime Law Journal.

Prior to working in a law firm, Zachary gained nearly a decade of government experience working on the inside for elected officials and on the outside partnering with governments from small municipal bodies to the federal government. While working for an elected member of Congress, he worked on legislation and communications in a district that stretched from Manhattan’s West Side to Brooklyn’s Coney Island. While at T-Mobile, he worked throughout the Northeastern US to aid regional development teams in their interactions with local elected officials and provide community outreach to assist the building out of a large telecommunications network infrastructure.
